Paris checks into jail 2 days EARLY!

Paris Hilton made two surprise appearances on Sunday night, first popping up on the red carpet and in the audience for the MTV Movie Awards and then checking into jail two days early to avoid the paparazzi. Mere hours after strolling down the red carpet at the 2007 MTV Movie Awards, Paris Hilton reported to jail on Sunday night, two days before her court-ordered deadline, according to a press release issued at 11:20pm last night. Paris Hilton has officially become a resident of the Lynwood Century Regional Detention Facility and the countdown to the 23 days until she's released has begun (assuming Paris behaves herself in jail and doesn't get into any deeper trouble). Paris Hilton is doing semi-hard time for driving with a suspended license while on probation for a drunken driving charge.
