Less than a month removed from her sojourn in a Los Angeles lockup, Paris Hilton is itching to make the transition from jailbird to songbird. “I’m already working on my new record,” Paris says. “I’ve been in meetings with Scott [Storch] and we’ve been working on it.”
Storch is the the proclaimed producer who helped guide Hilton through her eponymous first album. He’s also known for his chart-busting work with Beyoncé Knowles, Christina Aguilera, R. Kelly, 50 Cent and Dr. Dre. “I’ve been working on it with Scott for a few weeks,” adds Hilton, whose most recent musical endeavor was as cover girl on the U.K. version of the new Smashing Pumpkins single, “Tarantula”—a favor for friend Billy Corgan.
Sources close to The Simple Life star say she is determined to make the new album better than her last, which met with skepticism and lukewarm sales. “She takes voice lessons several times a week,” says an insider. “She’s really serious about her music career.”
The 26-year-old even had a meeting Monday with MTV executives, though it’s not clear if that meeting was connected to her upcoming sophomore music release or her collaboration with Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee. (Lee has confirmed he’s working with Hilton on a feature project but has not elaborated; MTV has described the project as in very early development.)
Paris Hilton hung out with her tongue out this weekend on the beach near her Malibu home. Paris was dressed in a conservative blue sheath that covered an itty-bitty one-piece bathing suit in which she later surfed.
Launch Radio Networks reports: The new SMASHING PUMPKINS album, “Zeitgeist”, features Paris Hilton in a series of photographs in the CD booklet, taken by PUMPKINS leader Billy Corgan himself. Hilton’s face also adorns the cover of the band’s U.K. single for the song “Tarantula”. Corgan explained how he got the notorious party girl and ex-con to pose for him. “Actually the original idea was we were gonna see if Lindsey, Britney and Paris would all shoot,” he said. “But ultimately we decided that that was probably gonna be too prohibitive ’cause then you would get into, like, those girls fighting amongst each other. Paris I knew personally, and hung out with her a few times, and so I asked her. I said, ‘Would you be willing to do this?’And God bless her, she came, she showed up at 10:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning, sat in the chair, got made up and shot her. So anybody who thinks that those aren’t real photos, those are real. We took those photos.”
Sheriff Lee Baca says that the investigation the special treatment of Paris Hilton in jail is a waste of money.
Paris
Hilton was sentenced to 45 days in jail after she was convicted of
driving with a suspended license following a DUI case. The socialite
was released from jail after only serving three day because
of alleged mental health problems.
The
26-year-old was called back to court and the judge sent her back jail
to complete her sentence. Baca was held in contempt of court for
releasing Hilton and was accused of giving special treatment to Hilton.
The
Association of Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs is investigating allegations
of Hilton receiving special treatment. Some of the allegations include
Hilton being able to use a cordless phone instead of waiting in line to
use the phone like all other inmates and Hilton receiving a new uniform
when all other inmates are given used ones.
Baca
confirms the allegations that Hilton was given a new uniform but says
there is a legitimate reason. “I was told that Ms. Hilton wears a size
three and we don’t have size three’s in the jail, so there had to be
some accommodation for her, otherwise, she wouldn’t be able to wear
what we have.”
“It’s wasting taxpayers’ dollars on something really trivial,” Baca says.
Sources tell TMZ that the former jailbird flew to San Francisco on Wednesday for a top secret meeting with Macy's executives to discuss her new denim line. Let's hope they're not crotchless! We're told the reaction from Macy's was amazing, so expect to see Paris jeans at a mall near you -- in sizes Small, Emaciated and Nicole.
