Eleven people have been charged with the theft of passenger property at Los Angeles International Airport, prosecutors said on Friday, including a baggage screener accused of stealing a $100,000 watch from Paris Hilton's bag.

The suspects, who also included two U.S. Transportation Security Administration screeners charged with taking a $7,000 watch belonging to R&B singer Keyshia Cole, were arrested as part of a crackdown on crime at the airport.

Prosecutors say George Penaranda, a 27-year-old TSA screener, was spotted by a co-worker taking a Paris Hilton Limited Edition watch from the hotel heiress's bag, slipping it into his glove and then his pocket in May of 2006.

Penaranda replaced the watch, which was valued at $100,000, after he realized that he had been observed, City Attorney's spokesman Frank Mateljan said. He was charged with grand theft and faces a maximum sentence of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine if he is convicted.

Screeners Qualonda Matthews, 32, and Millicent Pounds, 49, were charged with one count of grand theft, one count of misappropriation of property and one count of conspiracy.

Prosecutors say that after Cole left her $7,000 watch behind at a security checkpoint, Matthews and Pounds took it from the airport's lost property section and ultimately sold it in Las Vegas.

The eight other people charged included five TSA screeners, two employees of an airport subcontractor and a transient.

The crackdown is the result of a task force involving nearly a dozen law enforcement agencies, including the city attorney's office, Los Angeles Police Department, U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the TSA.

The Los Angeles City Attorney has just filed criminal charges against a T.S.A. employee at Los Angeles International Airport, alleging that he took a high-priced watch out of Paris Hilton's luggage.

It happened last year with a baggage screener at British Airways. The employee allegedly took a watch worth several thousand dollars out of one of Paris' carry-on bags.

In addition to that employee, the City Attorney is filing charges against seven other T.S.A. employees, alleging they did similar things to other passengers.

No indication on whether Paris will testify.

Once best friends who had split, have again become friends to host the second “The Simple Life” series.

The show titled “The Simple Life Goes to Camp” which will see Paris and Nicole as counselors will hit the screen in May. The episodes are being shot in Camp Shawnee in the mountains near Los Angeles. E! Entertainment Television Inc. revealed that the show will have five different specialty groups namely Wellness Camp, Pageant Camp, Couples Camp, Survival Camp and Drama Camp.

The celebrity hosts will eat, sleep and keep the same schedule as the campers and will not be given much of a VIP treatment. Lisa Berger, incharge of original programming and series development said,

The fact that Paris and Nicole are friends again and will have to survive without their luxuries at a family run camp in the middle of nowhere takes us back full circle to the original concept that makes this show so much fun.

Richie who has been diagnosed with hypoglycemia, or low-blood sugar, will be counseling girls and their moms for beauty pageants and work as marriage counselor with her hotel heiress pal Paris Hilton.

At a night club a paparazzi caught the two girls hugging, one of them who is always caught up in some scandal, Paris Hilton, and the other one of the biggest stars of the porn industry, Jenna Jameson. It was only an introduction, according to egostatic.com.

Even though many have compared the two, first of all because of physical appearance, they had just met.

According to the guests at the club, the two were created for each other.

Maybe it was only a marketing trick, because a lot of people want to put them together, and maybe the newly made friendship will last.
