Court records identify a 19-year-old Las Vegas woman as the leader of a burglary ring suspected of a series of break-ins at celebrities' homes in Los Angeles.

Search warrant records obtained Friday in Las Vegas show that police seized photos of Paris Hilton, designer jeans, computers, a Korean passport and 204 $100 bills when they arrested Rachel Lee at a northwest Las Vegas home Oct. 22.

Records show Lee was released the same day after posting $3,000 bail. Criminal charges have not been filed.

It was not immediately clear if she was represented by a lawyer.

Las Vegas police told a judge that Lee was the mastermind of a ring accused of burglarizing the Hollywood Hills homes of celebrities including Audrina Patridge, Lindsay Lohan, Orlando Bloom and the Hilton family.

Paris Hilton has reportedly recovered her stolen jewellery.

The heiress and reality TV star was a victim of theft in December 2008 when her home in Los Angeles was burgled. An estimated $2 million (£1.4 million) in jewellery was allegedly stolen.

The socialite has thanked the Los Angeles police for retrieving her stolen items and for arresting a group of teenagers that are suspected to be responsible for a slew of burglaries in the Sherwood Oaks area of Los Angeles.

Hilton's publicist Dawn Miller told People: "Paris went to the police station last night to retrieve her stolen belongings. She didn't get everything but fortunately most of her jewellery was returned. She is really pleased and thankful to the LAPD for their help."

Word has it that socialite Paris Hilton will be in yet another movie. This time, she's reported to be doing a cameo appearance as herself in a new movie with Will Ferrell called The Other Guys.

The blonde socialite threw the surprise party for Doug Reinhardt at her Beverly Hills mansion on Saturday (17.10.09) and wore a sexy hot pink outfit and a black diamond mask as she burst out of the giant-sized sweet treat.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Paris went all out for her man's birthday. No expense was spared. He had no idea about the party and was so happy."

Paris was so keen to impress 'The Hills' star - who she reunited with in the summer when he whisked her away on a romantic break to Fiji - she organised for rap group Three 6 Mafia and hip-hop star Ya Boy to perform for partygoers.

Guests including Hollywood beauties Hayden Panettiere and Kristanna Loken, partied until 3am at the nightclub Paris has built in her home, while home videos of the couple were screened throughout the mansion.

Doug is not the only star to be presented with a giant cake on his birthday.

When Hollywood actress Katie Holmes turned 30 last December, her husband Tom Cruise surprised her with an enormous five-tiered sponge.

Paris and Doug were spotted by the papps going out to eat in Hollywood, California on Saturday.

Prior to a recent night on the town, she tweeted, “Getting ready to go to dinner and then out. Haven’t been out to LA clubs in so long. Should be fun!”

But after hitting a few clubs, Paris was ready to head home.  “On my way home. LA is not what it used to be. Brutal. Can’t wait to get in bed.”

She said things are “good” with on-again beau Doug Reinhardt.

“We were just in Fiji and Bora Bora, Indonesia and Europe together,” she told Us. “He’s, like, my best friend. We are just very close. I just tell him everything. We have a lot in common. So it’s nice to be together.”

Paris Hilton is at the centre of a legal fight in Germany after pulling out of a series of events she was scheduled to attend Friday and Saturday.

Promoters booked the socialite to appear at a number of industry events in Frankfurt, but Hilton refused to leave her hotel room in the city.

She then flew to Italy early on Saturday to judge a beauty pageant, snubbing one party she was supposed to attend with Frederic Prinz von Anhalt's adopted son Marcus, reported contactmusic.com.

It was reported that Hilton pulled out of her scheduled appearances due to an argument with her boyfriend, Doug Reinhardt, suggesting the hotel heiress was instructed not to attend the Saturday night event because it was being held in an erotic table dancing club.

"Paris Hilton has dishonoured all appointments and contracts—the dinner with 18 high-ranking guests, the appearance at the bar, the autograph session at Mediastar. We are incredibly disappointed," said Michael Marx, the organiser of a party at top club Mediastar.
